Thought for the week: β Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.β Psalm 100:3
Prayer for the church Please pray for pastor as he is unwell, and for Ralph as he preaches at short notice.
Pray for Anne Rees, Lizβs mum. She has just been diagnosed with cancer. Pray that she may be given grace to rest in Christ.
Please continue to pray for Simon with his situation regarding his employment.
Please pray for early preparations for Holiday Bible Club
Continue to pray for our local churches without pastors and few committed workers. Pray for Godβs blessing upon each of the weekly mtgs. That all the children may attend regularly.
That leaders may undertake all their work in prayerful dependence upon Christ.
That leaders will be given all the grace needed.
That the church will be diligent in prayer that we may see conversions ultimately resulting from all these outreach activities.
That we will be given the sensitivity to encourage one another in the work of the Lord.

For Wider Area Kenya - Nairobi - Keithand Priscilla Underhill β Olgumi Baptist On 28/11 I went with my fellow Pastor, Joseph Masunga, and our Carol, to this area which is quite near Nairobi. We were warmly received by the Pastor, Stephen ole Kakoiya, his wife and mother. This is a church of about 70 members which broke away from the Baptists of Kenya (from Southern Baptists) 3 years ago. They have read through our church constitution and want to be in fellowship with Trinity Baptist Church. Joseph first preached from Acts 2 about the character of the people who make up the church. The Maasai people had been so resistant to the Gospel that it is only in the last 30 years that churches have started in this area. Even now the older men have nothing to do with Christianity. The culture is part of their church, the women wearing the traditional beads, and some jumping while singing. Sadly charismatic practices are also there, but we hope this is simply copying what is around them without any real understanding. Stephen has had some training, but has applied to join our course next year.
