Here's a sound biblical teaching on the will of man concerning the ability to come to Christ, http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=83004134236Or this link, http://www.spurgeon.org/sermons/0182.htm I do like this passage from Ephesians 2:1 concerning our will/ability to choose Christ apart from divine grace, 'you, who were dead in sin, He made alive'... The foolish pride of a sinful heart demands credit for his part in salvation, yet, the Lord insists 'salvation is of the Lord'. If we 'choose Jesus' it's only because God has brought us low, crushed us under the weight of our sins, and granted us repentance leading to salvation. You can choose your brand of cereal, you can choose a tie color, but you simply cannot choose to believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ UNLESS God has first done a work in you. We are dead in sin until the supernatural power of God awakens us, draws us {John 6:44} and, by grace, saves us {Eph. 2:8,9). |

Jim Lincoln wrote: You should ask why the immoral King James I, wanted to replace the superior Geneva Bible! "James's Enemies Discredited""Maurice Lee, Jr., a historian published by the University of Illinois Press, says, "Historians can and should ignore the venomous caricature of the king's person and behavior drawn by Anthony Weldon." [22] Another historian, Christopher Durston, writes regarding Weldon's book: "This poisonous piece of literary revenge was to do profound and lasting damage to James's reputation, as it became the prime source for many subsequent historical assessments whose authors failed to make sufficient allowance for its obvious bias." [23]" "There were several others who hinted that James was a homo-sexual. However, upon examination, in each case, they turn out to be avowed political enemies of James and likely fed upon each other's gossip. Much could and has been written on this matter. However, Ste-phen Coston quotes a historian who lived much closer to these charges as "despicable and libelous, . . . full of lies, mistakes, and nonsense." St Jeremiah wrote: Not at all. Eternal life is a gift (Romans 6:23)....the Millennium is a historical event that will follow after the second coming of Jesus to fulfill God's promise to Israel in His covenants (Abrahamic, Mosaic, Land, Davidic, and the New and Everlasting Covenant). OR, more likely, the Millenium is a time for God to physically rule w/ Satan bound. When Satan is released after 1000 years and starts another rebellion, this will prove forever that man does not sin because his environment is deficient or because he was tricked. Everyone will be well taught in the Bible, familiar with Satan, with the fall in the Garden and many will STILL turn after Satan. Also, that is the time for the final judgment, the Second Death when the unbelieving, alive and dead, are damned.Covenants are a two-way street; physical Israel broke their covenant with God, their house has been left desolate, they are broken off branches that can only be restored by believing (same as everybody else). The Jews are not special by way of their genes, God is not a racist, and the Jews not entitled to own the world for 1000 years while everybody else goes along for the ride. |

St Jeremiah wrote: Then explain how the king of Tyre could be; "...in Eden, the garden of God" Or created as; "Every precious stone was your covering..the workmanship of your tambourines and flutes was ""in"" you." "You were the anointed cherub who covers, And I placed you....on the holy mountain of God..." "You walked in the midst of the stones of fire." A human king that is a fallen son of Adam could not be the same creature described by Ezekiel under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The people who post here mostly don't believe Satan's name is Lucifer or that the Luciferian secret cults have anything to do with worshipping Satan. They also don't believe the NWO exists. If their pastors told them to stick their hand in a blender, they would. |

Anti-antichrist wrote: The Underground History of American Education: A Schoolteacher’s Intimate Investigation Into the Prison of Modern Schooling, by John Taylor Gatto The whole book is available online so you don't have spend any FRN's and wait for the shipment. It might take a little while to read, but let me know what you all think when finished. ]]Underground History of American Education You gotta be kidding -- the part about people letting you know what they think when they finish reading a long book online. You are obviously not familiar with the kind of people who post here -- most don't even listen to sermons, let alone read anyhting past the headlines. Most of them get their information from the TV here and only come on Sermon audio to argue and nitpick that they are more spiritual than the other guy. |

Both the catholic NAB and the NASB used the same Nestle-Aland N.T. Greek text. Taken from the Lockman Foundation website: “In the updated NASB, consideration was given to the latest available manuscripts with a view to determining the best Greek text. In most instances, the 26th EDITION OF NESTLE-ALAND Novum Testamentum Graece was closely followed.” Taken from the Zondervan website: “Shortly after the publication of the complete Bible, the American bishops decided that the 1970 NAB New Testament was too paraphrastic for general use, and so the New Testament was "revised" (translated anew, really, on different principles, from the 26th EDITION OF NESTLE-ALAND) and published in 1986.” |

JD "In the famous Ps 51 "Against thee and thee only have I sinned! Oh yea! Who's wife did you steal and who is lying dead over there? I hope you get the point!" You still haven't explained what this verse means. Psa 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. |

JD “ Ro 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. This is speaking of the period before the law of Moses was written. We are told those who died before the law did so even though they did not sin after the similtude of Adam's trangression.”Adam’s fall was the fall of mankind (it is not because they disobeyed God by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil like Adam did) but all became sinners because of the sin of Adam. Rom 5:13-15 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. (14) ***Nevertheless*** death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. Sin wasn’t imputed to them by the law but because they were sinners without the law for the wages of sin is death. That’s why death reigned from Adam to Moses before the law. Rom 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; “Original sin refers to the results of the first sin - the corruption of the human race. Original sin refers to the fallen condition in which we are born.” |

JD “God does not charge anyone with sin until they sin…” God charges all with sin. Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: JD "Sin is not imputed if there is no law” Sin is imputed with or without law. Rom 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; |
