Actors live under constant pressure to "perform". Their performance is very, very seldom the person who they actually are. Many actors lose their sense of identity and find it difficult to "be real". Drugs and alcohol help drown the mental confusion they suffer, and for some sadly it leads to death.

Christ's own Words should end the discussion, "Matthew 7:16
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?""Matthew 7:16.

At the rate people replace their Bibles with newer translations I question the need for a Bible which will last a lifetime. Also a waterproof Bible already has been available.

It's troubling to see Christians argue over disputable Scriptural interpretations, yet totally ignore or disobey the plain commandments of Christ our King. I believe many of us are in for a very big surprise.

Westerners are losing the numbers game in part due to the their severely declining birth rate.
"The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world", is true in more than one sense.

Most if not all Christians agree there will be a rapture, it's the timing over which we disagree.

According to God the Sabbath was made for man, it is a gift from God and should be protected and observed. However it does little good if it is used for a day of self indulgence rather than worship.

I agree with the last comment
A totally decadent society doesn't get there overnight. It happens in small increment, until one morning we wake up and read the morning news and we realize the awful truth that society has so corrupted itself only a corrective act of God will save any good that remains. "...as it was in the days of Noah..."

" - but from these verses we can guess at what god feels about fashion disfigurement".

Lisa I would agree. Since we are under grace the O.T. Law does not apply to us today (actually it only applied to the children of Israel anyhow). However, what we do get from the O. T. Is God's heart and to me that is more significant and important than the Law.

As Christians we must always ask ourselves, "why do I want something, or why do I want to wear something, or why do I want to buy something?" We need to uncover our motives. After that we need to compare our desire for something with the Word of God.

Hardly anyone alive today would deny that our western culture is in a serious decline. One of the evidences of that decline are the freakish appearances of ungodly people. A quick visit to London or New York, and beyond, would quickly confirm that. Why would a godly person choose to imitate what the ungodly are doing to themselves. I feel like the Church just meekly follows the world around like a little puppy with a big collar around her neck. The Church just can't stand to be different anymore.

God made our bodies perfect, do we think we can improve upon that? Tatoos are to the human body what a bumper stickers are to a Ferrari.

Tatoos might impress peers, but we're mistaken if we think God is impressed or doesn't care.

Amen to just saying, "no", to TV. We haven't had one in our home for almost 25 years now. Magazines, the beach, the pool are also thing we said no to.

Unfortunately the internet in some ways is much worse than TV ever was yet so "indispensable". It's making me start to long for the days before the internet and when PC's were rare.

For the last six thousand years the only response which impresses God is true faith evidenced by obedience. That is God's definition of revival.

Obedience to the Law? No, obedience to the commands of Christ, the Son of the Living God.

Darwin's theory of evolution remains just that, a theory. After a 150 years of desperate attempts to prove it's validity, it requires more blind faith than ever to believe it; solid evidence just never emerged.

The complexity of even one cell in our bodies is so astounding it points directly to a designer and creator.

Yet with the collapse of Darwinism we see in Europe where intelligent people will turn to Islam rather than Christ.

I am certainly not opposed to speaking out against specific sins. But it does little good to proclaim that marriage is a sacred gift from God who only unites men with women in Holy Matrimony when the divorce rate among Christians is the same as unbelievers. Really, it's a mockery. Church leadership should never have compromised as now we seem to have lost the basic argument.

By the same token, I don't really believe in the sanctity of life if I were to abort a child when inconvenienced by an unplanned pregnancy. Do we see the connection?

Actions always speak louder than words.

Years ago "Christian" married couples themselves began to destroy the sanctity of marriage when they started to divorce each other as their pastors looked the other way. Now they complain when the sodomites take it to the next level.

Either we believe in one man, one woman, for life, or we don't truly believe in the sanctity of marriage. Anything different is either sodomy, polygamy or some other arrangement against God's will.

God calls sodomy a detestable and disgusting thing when He labels it an abomination. Only a fool will argue against God.

God also calls it treachery to put away the wife of thy youth, He even says He hates it!

Oh church, let us not condemn one sin and conveniently slip another under the carpet. Let us not weary the Lord with empty words. When God joins a man and a women, no man on earth is ever qualified to separate them. Read Malachi 2:14-16.
