( Philippians 4:13) “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
All doesn’t always mean all! I think that should be obvious, though some people still beg to differ. I cannot fly, run one hundred miles an hour or bench press a thousand pounds. But I can do all things, through Christ, that are required of me by God. This verse leaves us zero wiggle room for under achievement as a Christian. Through the Blood of Christ I have already been declared righteous in the Eyes of God. All of my sin has been propitiated, atoned for by the finished work of Christ. And yet that should not be used as a cloak of maliciousness, but as further reason to become greater servants of God. Some say it is impossible to become sinless in this life! I don’t know anymore about that than what this scripture says, but I do know for sure I can do better. By the strengthening Love of Christ, WE can do better! Do you want to, is the question!
(Hebrews 12:2-4) “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.”
