As believers in Christ, we too are living at Code YELLOW, for there has been in recent years, a significant increase in the possibility of us facing persecution for our faith. So, we must be ready to suffer for doing what is right. We need to be ready to give an answer for the reason of the hope that we have in Christ. But who is our role model/ Who is the perfect example of one who unjustly suffered and achieved a greater good through it? Peter promotes Jesus Christ is THE role model for us to follow! 1 Peter 3:18 succinctly summarizes the rich meaning of the cross! Jesus Christ, the righteous or just one, suffered and died for our sins, the unjust ones! But the greatest travesty of justice accomplished the greatest triumph-- our reconciliation with God! He died in order to bring us to God, so that sinful human beings can be reconciled with a holy God-- a relationship restored!! All of this is possible through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ!
