And so, I want to ask the question: How can I be persuaded that God has an everlasting love for me? For I believe that we can be persuaded of Electing love, even as it says in 1st John 4: 16 – “And we have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us.” I believe that each person trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ for their salvation can be persuaded that God has loved them with an everlasting love, if they will believe in God’s promises of salvation being applicable to them, so that they can deal with their sins, according to the promises of His word, and find the reality of God’s everlasting love in their experience. Let me set forth to you the points of truth that I believe the Lord would have you to consider in this regard. 1st of all – You can be persuaded that God has an everlasting love for you if you will see that salvation is based upon His purpose, and not on your works. 2nd –You can be persuaded that God loves you with an everlasting love if you have been drawn to Him. And 3rd – You can be persuaded that God loves you with an everlasting love if you see what He is building into your life. Can you realistically be persuaded of God’s everlasting love toward you? Yes, I believe that you can.
