"The Mystery of Faith" Hebrews 10:19-11:2 The concern here is that as children of God we walk by faith and NOT by sight! To lead the life of perseverance and as a Christian we have to exercise the patience of faith! Sometimes we are not patient with the Lord's way with us, and we are filled with anxiety and we must stop and live by faith! Only those with faith will understand these things also.
What is it? The original reads "faith is." Faith IS a mystery and men who believe in giant evolutional leaps still will not believe in scripture, but we who have Christ believe the promises of God to be faithful and true! These things are spiritually discerned. The spectacles of Christ that are set upon our faces allow us to see and to believe. They are the very SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things not seen. Faith is the firm CONVICTION and ASSURANCE that is based on the Word of God! Not a mystical feeling, but it is a confident trust in all of scripture as things are revealed and unfolded out to us. It is a KNOWLEDGE and REVELATION and CONFIDENCE that these revealed things are true. It is a gift of God wrought by Him alone! A blind world will never have an "awakening" without the gift of faith, but will always be "science" to those without faith.
How do we fare when it comes to the things we are to believe from the Word of God? Note that a spiritual corpse will NOT eat bread anymore than a physically dead corpse can partake. The truth of the Word of God speaks to us. It is given by grace from God so that we can see and believe. Truly a gift from God! In a world and even a church world that is becoming eroded fast, let us press these glories close to us. The authority of God in ALL of scripture.
It IS evident We read about those by faith received a good report (or testimony.) This testimony was of God and so we will receive one of God.
1. God testifies in their and our hearts that what we believe by faith are true! He corroborates the truth in our heart and soul.
2. Testimony comes from the saints in glory as the cloud of witnesses.
The Lord, who works that living faith within us will NEVER put us to shame! Hold on to your faith...now and into eternity!
