Great Sermon! I think this series and Boys to Men are stand outs among many stand outs. The way you started the series with your personal story is powerful and should be sobering to anyone who struggles with finishing what they started. Thanks friend.
He is taking Chan's words out of context If you take literally what Francis Chan is saying, then yes, Matthew Henry has a point. But if Chan is saying we should let the Spirit work, it does not mean we should literally do nothing. Even Chan is working hard as well, giving his money away, helping and building up others.
It's the same principle with the other arguments used.
On Target, Pastor! I do love John 17, and it has much affinity with much of what God has been speaking into the hearts of leadership at our missions boards. Lots more emphasis, for instance, on Business As Missions. What kind of feedback have you received thus far from this message, from people seeking practical guidance into how to be missionaries, wherever, continually? How are people also responding to say, "We believe that God is sending us to ..." ?
I'd be glad to partner as servants working alongside as people own up to being sent...
Great Sermon! Excellent explanation Do these sermons on Divorce and remarriage come in book form? If so I would love to have them, as we are having a meetin on this subject in a couple of weeks with our Pastor and bible study group, of which there are several of them that lean the other way.
Excellent Sermon! The Lord gives and the Lord takes away, blessed be the Name of the Lord, His ways are just and righteous, no matter what He does!
Thankyou for this excellent sermon pastor Matthew, and God's richest blessings to you and yours.
May the dear Lord bless your ministry as you proclaim His Holy Word.
Great Sermon! When I was first confronted with the doctrine I did not get angry because it sure seemed that Ephesians was plain enough and that God can do what he wants. Good sermon on a tough topic for many.
A Genuine Must Hear on the Armor of God and Prayer Pastor Henry, I thank God for this sermon, it is perhaps the best sermon I've heard on the Armor of God and Prayer and will be one I will prayerfully listen to over again for some time, and likewise encourage anyone else who is interested in or has a heart for prayer to listen to as well. The Supernatural Stength and the Armor for the fight, that allows us to stand victorious over anything Satan throws at us belongs to God Almighty and Oh! the blessed spiritual warfare we can wage in them for all those we love and care about in our families and in the body of Christ, in our praying so clothed.
Great Sermon! Dear Mr. Henry, This sermon was absolutely fantastic. Christians should be made aware of this evil one.Unfortunately there are not many preachers who preach about this today. I know the Puritans did. I have benefited greatly from your sermon, thank you very much and thank Sermon Audio. Keep up your good work preaching in Jesus' name. God bless you and your family & church. Pamela Mcilroy
About the spirit I was confused on what he meant about how the receiving of the spirit was just for then? I have experienced and witness many people receiving the spirit and speak in tongues even now so how can he say that was just for then?
Deep, personal, most will turn a blind eye. I guess it's hard to call this sermon life-changing, because normally that refers to something that's "encouraging". This sermon instead forces you to deal with some deep, deep problems, desires, lusts, etc. that drive our life and beyond, in ways we continually ignore.
Pastor Henry Explains 'Marriage is for Life!' "Look at the legalized adultery we call divorce. Men marry one wife after another and are still admitted into good society; and women do likewise.
There are thousands of supposedly respectable men in American living with other men's wives, and thousands of supposedly respectable women living with other women's husbands."

Great Sermon! This series has really changed me I'm more awarer and watching what I'm doing and thinking. I want to be a true believer not a half baked one
Great Sermon! We enjoyed the sermon but we always have trouble hearing it. Our volume control is at full blast but even when we are next to the computer it is still so quiet that we an't understand some of your words. Is there any way that your sermons could be put on Sermon Audio "louder"?
An Incredible Sermon! This sermon just might rock your world as there are parts of it which are deeply disturbing. But in the end, the listener will come away giving great thanks for the mercies God has bestowed upon us through the Lord Jesus Christ! Oh who can fathom the depths of the glory of God?
