The World of Today A message from years ago that describes the world of today. This story has been talked about through the ages but this message show how relevant it is right now.
Great Sermon! Thanks to God for this sermon. Really described God’s purpose and vision for the family.
Thank you pastor for your testimonial and that of Jonathan Edwards. It really shows what God can do in the genealogy of those who decide to depend and walk in His will.
sermon What an illogical comment you posted, Tom T. You are a Universalist and do not believe the Gospel of a Sovereign God. If you believe all will be saved then why does Hell exist and how come so many souls do not believe the Gospel? Many people have come and died without even hearing the Gospel. Are you saying they're SAVED without even hearing the Good News of God's Grace in Christ alone? THINK.
Great Sermon! Thank you, Pastor, I see so much of Jonah's attitudes in myself and other believers. It is humbling to consider that we are like the prophet, running from God when we should be obedient. It was very much cause for reflection.
Great Sermon! Thank you, Pastor, for this sermon, it spoke well to me of the greatness of God, and his holiness, and his kindness to treat with sinful people!
Interesting lecture Today I listened to these two messages and one by Dr. Michael Haykin covering the same subject. SID=6113125312 I have been a Reformed Baptist almost 30 years but I am finally just really studying our history. I am more familiar with Presbyterian and Congregational history, and this helped me to know why. The fact is, there is a dark period in our history in the 18th and 19th centuries. A lot of hyper-calvinism marked us, and the fact that the Great Awakenings were jettisoned by these pastors. The history is not totally discouraging. I have in my library a Baptist Magazine from the 1820s that seems sound. And we had great missionary examples, Judson, Carey, and others. But where is the experimental theology in the 18th century penned by Baptist theologians? Do we know anyone BESIDES John Gill, Abraham Booth and Isaac Backus? Anyway, Pastor Jeff, I have only had the pleasure of seeing you once, and that from the distance. Come back to Grand Rapids sometime! T M S
Great Sermon! can u please do a study of bible translations and what english bibles are based on what manuscripts?which manuscripts did the church use throughout the ages?why do we see a change in those manuscripts when it comes to the newer versions of the english bible?why are there so many verses missing out of the new translations?
Great Sermon! 2 Kings 18
New American Standard Bible: 4 He removed the high places and broke down the sacred pillars and cut down the Asherah. He also broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made, for until those days the sons of Israel burned incense to it; and it was called Nehushtan
Great Sermon! I appreciate so much your preaching, Pastor Powell. Thank you for your faithful studies through the book of Jonah. They've been a blessing to me. Pray for my city, would you, brethren, as I pray for you!
Inspiring Sermon Sermons like this one inspire. You are one exacting sergeant; but, I appreciate it and admire you for it.
Thanks, Joe.

Not ashamed Joseph, I'm proud of you. This man, folks, is not afraid to get into the details about hell. How many people do we know who perceive this world as hell? "but God"
