Great miracle. I liked very much the idea that our faith and our love for the Lord are a miracle from God. Oh, for more of this faith and this love!
Great Sermon! What an amazing sermon! Focusing on the power in praise and worship, leading the ladies group tomorrow night in devotion and plan to use the story of Jeremiah - as you presented it here. What an awesome reminder to not stop at the pity party (surveying our own self), but remember to stretch forward to survey God! I LOVED that!! Personal story: when Amanda was in ICU and unconscious, fighting for her life and being kept alive by machine... I laid in bed one night across the street at the Ronald McDonald House (as it was Randy's night to stay with her), awake at 3am I was in that PITY PARTY. Why her? With all she stands for and has done for you, God...why her?? It's not fair! And on and on... That's when he spoke to me - just as you referenced your minister of music in this sermon - God spoke the words to the song "Oh no, you never let go" into my mind, my heart, my spirit!! 2nd verse: "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, his perfect love is casting out fear. And even though I'm caught in the middle of the storms of this life, I won't turn back I know you are hear. And I will fear no evil, for my God is with me, and if my God is with me, whom them shall I fear?" God is an on-time God! He will always give enough of the manna to sustain! You are a blessing!!
I am concerned because the vere you mentioned, I John 1:9 is not talking to a believer but actually an unbeleiver because the love of the truth is not in him st start with if he never sincerely fully repented with a fully contrite heart. Those that come to the light the the fear of the lord wisdom, in that the light of the truth they know can see right through them and in God giving the truth and the light as needed there is full surrender in the person receiving in this case only, eternal life. Once that life is given by Christ to the new joint heir of and with christ nothing can ever seperate him or her from the love of God. When you say the the saved person needs to confess his or her sins for any additional redemption or cleansing from all unrighteousness, then if a saved person sins which we all do sin, would need an on goiong redemptive power. Christ gives eternal life from the beginning and once to die and after this the judgemnent which either means we are living by the light and faith that saved us in full and completion or you believe that a saved person still needs on going redemptice power. Once I am bought it is a contract. Christ remembers my sin no more. He is talking to non saved people who like everywhere think that they are good enough. with out Christ.
