Very encouraging podcast! This podcast really encouraged me today as have been going through alot of trials and at times feeling overwhelmed and a bit discouraged π I was reminded how important it is for us to continue to put into practice God's Word even in our times of trial and discouragement. And if we do this the God of peace will be with us. Not just a gift of peace from God, but God himself
Of course we know that God never leaves us but intimacy and peace do change according to how well we are putting into practice what we are learning.
Thanks Darrell for this sermon, it really encouraged me today!π
Excellent teaching on repentance!!! This is the most clearest, most practical teaching on repentance I have ever come across!
The sermon following this one called, "The full course of repentacillin and continues to build on the 10 steps towards full repentance.
Sometimes we think we have repented of a certain sin because we stop doing the sin but we never deal with our heart and don't return to God fully.
Repenting of sin God's way is a gift to us as our intimacy with God and our joy can be restored. We will also start to have victory over sin and be useful to God once again.
I encourage anyone to listen to these sermons if you are struggling with a besetting sin or some other sin, a lack of joy and intimacy with God or a lack of fruitfulness. You can also print off the PDF's if you want to study it more fully.
Excellent podcast series!!! I have listened to this series a few times now. It deals with stress and anxiety from many different angles.
As I look back on the past year or two since listening to these podcasts I can say my faith is so much stronger, my trust has grown in the Lord, I have more peace and the trials that used to sink me now serve as tools to help me grow closer to the Lord.
If you struggle with stress or anxiety, I encourage you to listen to this podcast series and take notes. Then start putting what you learn into practice and then watch your faith and love for God grow and your anxieties melt away! I can testify to the fact that applying these truths to your life will result in change and the peace that you crave!
Encouraging, peace producing podcast! This podcast teaches you how to respond when God brings difficult things into your life. We can pray for relief but have to also accept that God's will is best. Encouragement and peace come when we accept that the trial is coming from a perfect loving God who has a perfect plan for us. And even though we may not know what that perfect plan is we can by faith accept it and rest in it knowing that it really is the best possible thing for us.
Medicine for the soul! This sermon series was exactly what I needed when I was going through a low time in my life. I didn't understand why I was struggling so much until the Lord showed me, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." I realized the root of all our our sin struggles is pride and that if we are not humble towards others it means we are not humble towards God.
When I humbled myself under God's mighty hand and ferverently asked for his mercy and his help instead of being like a little 2 year old that wants to be independent, the Lord lifted me up. I experienced relief, peace, joy and my strength returned.
I encourage you to listen to this sermon series if you are in a low place and don't know why you are struggling so much.
Comforting reassuring sermon on justice. This sermon is the best sermon on God's justice I have ever heard! It can be so disheartening when you have been treated unjustly but very reassuring to know that God is not only just but he loves to bring justice. When we trust in God's justice it frees us up to love our enemies. But we must ask for it. GOD gives us an appetite for justice and when we cry out for it, He delights in meeting that need.
Sometimes when we cry out justice we may not see it visibly but by faith we need to believe that God brings justice in many different ways. Justice is not just punishing the person who sinned against us but trusting Him to somehow make it up to us. We must wait on Him and trust Him for this. I downloaded the PDF which is really good if you want to do a study on it.
Excellent sermon! This sermon teaches you how to respond when you are mistreated or hurt by others. I learnt how passionate God is about justice. He will judge evil and put things right oneday.
When people hurt us, there are 2 purposes. The evil person has a purpose but the Lord has a good purpose and his purpose trumps man's purpose. When we find ourselves focusing on what the person has done, for every one thought about the hurt, we need to think 10 good thoughts about God's good purposes and character. And remember as Joseph said to his brothers "You meant it for evil, but God meant it for good..."
Enlightening sermon! This sermon answered alot of the questions I had about fasting. There doesn't seem to be alot of teaching on it but it is modeled by many people in the scriptures as well as godly people through the ages. I learnt that one of the most important things about fasting is that it is a way that we can humble ourselves before the Lord. If we have a besetting sin or are repenting over a sin or desire an answer to prayer, fasting is something we can do to humble ourselves and show God the sincerity of our heart's. As a result of this sermon I am going to do a 24 hour fast. Thanks Darrell for this excellent sermon!
Life changing series! This is about how to grow in your love for the Lord. It has absolutely transformed my spiritual life and I have a real warmth and love in my heart towards the Lord.
Loving God starts with resolving to prefer God above all other loves, then you convert all the thirsts of the soul as thirst for God. Then you seek hard after Him and when you find Him you behold Him. Next you remember Him and dwell on past experiences with God. In addition to this you trust in God's precious promises that bring so much joy and increased intimacy with God. Then you seek to praise God joyfully. This should come as an overflow of the heart as you experience God's attributes. Then finally you seek to walk side by side by God, loving the things He loves and hating the things He hates.
If you are searching for something more in your spiritual life and you desire to be close to the Lord and experience a deep joy in your soul, then this sermon series is for you. You won't be disappointed!!!
Such an encouraging sermon! I have listened to this sermon 3 times now and it uplifts me everytime! It teaches you about the joy that comes from dwelling on and trusting in God's precious promises. We experience one of the most deepest forms of intimacy with God when we trust in and rest on His promises. Even while we wait for the promise to be fulfilled we can still experience joy as God is faithful to fulfill all his promises.
Touching, restoring sermon series I was really touched by the fact that even though God is serious about our sin, he has such a lovely heart towards us when we repent. This is part 1 of a 3 part series that is based on Psalm 51. After we sin even serious sin, all God desires is that we be restored to closeness to Him. There is a process that God has clearly outlined that starts with brokenness and ends in joy and restoration. You will be so encouraged by this series and come away feeling a real love and appreciation for God's forgiveness and grace.
Comforting, encouraging sermon! This sermon teaches you how to turn to God as your refuge when you are in trouble or facing multiple trials. You learn to dwell on the attributes of God and lift up your soul to Him, trust in his promises and wait on Him to meet your needs. To do this, you must refuse to turn to other things to satisfy you when only God can.
You began with untruths You began with saying that Floyd was murdered by a police officer while other officers stood by and did nothing.
I was unaware that a trial has occurred and found the police officers guilty of murder. Are you aware of all the circumstances? No, you apparently are not. For instance, Floyd was apprehended committing a crime and fought the officers. During that confrontation Floyd told the officers that he had Covid (which he did) and was spitting on the officers. The officers had to control Floyd's actions and pinned him on the ground with one of the officer's knee in the area of Floyd's head and neck to stop him from spitting covid all over them. Floyd also showed positive for fentanyl which very possibly accounted for him saying he could not breath. He also had other health problems which he should have considered before resisting arrest. I guess we may have to wait for the trial to determine all the facts but apparently you have found the officers already guilty already. Therefore, I did not listen any further because I could not trust your preaching.
Very powerful sermon! This is an extremely helpful sermon for someone struggling with feeling down, suffering from depression or going through a huge trial. It is part 2 of a 4 part series and helps you to navigate through the dark times when you don't feel God's presence. Darrell helps you to see that turmoil in the soul is a thirst for God's presence. He teaches you how to seek God and how this begins at the alter by confessing your sin and dealing with it. The next step to experiencing the presence of God is to read the Word and ask God to open your eyes to the truth about Him. Then you learn to make the connections between what you believe about God and what you experience in your everyday life.
I have been putting this into practice the last few months and it's making such a huge difference in my life and my love and intimacy with God has grown and I have so much more joy.
If you or someone you know is struggling through a low time, I encourage you to listen to it or share the link as it is life changing stuff!!!
Absolutely amazing sermon! I learnt so much about how our self talk affects us. It can either lead to joy or depression. When we are feeling down we need to learn to talk to God about our troubles and talk to our souls about God and his character. And we also need to cultivate the habit of thankfulness even when feeling down. I have started putting this into practice and it is making such a difference to my life.
The whole series on depression is amazing. If you or someone else is struggling with low times or a big trial, listen to this series and share the link. Life changing stuff!
Great Sermon! Wrong pdf attached. Would you please attach the correct one to this teaching? I would love to go through it while I listen. Thank you
