America: Too Proud To Kneel
E. A. Johnston

“ Oh Lord, help us!!!! ”
We, as the body of Christ in America, are in desperate need of a great awakening to our poor spiritual condition before the Lord. I fear it will take persecution to awaken the church out of deep slumber to a broken and contrite heart of repentance.

“ Great Sermon! ”
I agree 100% with the above comment. We need more of this kind of preaching in my country too. I find that these messages are so helpful and encouraging. They bring light in our darkness. May God have mercy upon us and send revival.Thank you Dr Johnston.

“ All These Sermons are Wonderful! ”
I am truly edified, encouraged, challenged, and admonished through all the messages that Pastor Johnston preaches. In my times of loneliness and trying to live for God when everything seems against me, I take heart from listening to Pastor Johnston's Biblical instruction and Holy Ghost preaching. The Church of our day needs so much more of this time of sin-convicting preaching. Thank you Pastor Johnston!

When they came for me I trusted in The Lord the because always the arm of flesh shall fail you! The eyes of The Lord search the earth to find those that trust in Him to be strong on their behalf!

“ Great encouragement for young and Old ”
I listened to this sermon with my young daughter and it encouraged her greatly. The apathy among young and old in our churches is worrying but God can revive us. May we lay hold of God in prayer. May we seek His face on behalf of our youth.

Great word Dr. Johnston. It's time to get serious with sin and turn whole heartedly to God.

“ Indisputable Insights ”
Excellent message that diagnosis the cancer on American Christianity. So many mega churches with their rock n' roll bands and pastors in jeans and t-shirts have so lowered the bar that their brand of Christianity-lite requires no commitment to Christ, no evidence of sanctification, and no lifestyle changes. I see it in the young professing Christians I work with. They enjoy Hollywood movies and TV programs glamorizing homosexuality, use profanity, and see no great harm in drinking or premarital sex. To speak out against such things in favor of holiness is to be branded a "legalist." Yes, as you correctly observed, when the church abandoned Lordship and reduced Christ down to a friend who'll turn a blind eye to the frailties of our flesh the church was assimilated into the world. Perhaps this is the great apostasy the Scriptures foretold--less a mass exodus out of the faith more a slow, steady erosion brought about by compromise upon compromise. Thank you for a sobering message that inspired me to be more intentional in evangelizing.

I am sad to say that the condition of America is the same as here in Australia. I truly believe judgment is approaching, people need to flee to Jesus.

Dear Johnson God bless you for this powerful preaching and these days are really dark days as i see even some good evangelical organizations are turning to companies. How i can mortify the indwelling sin or persisiting sin? God bless you in Christ

“ Repeating mistakes ”
Reading the transcript of this has restated again awareness of our present state of lose. Since the 50s, the church has lost almost two generations: a substantial fraction of these to modernism; and by large, the main bulk to the world, and yes to utter perdition by shear skepticism. Parents and Christian leaders have given the young what they themselves wanted, craved or were immersed into, this is, what the flesh wants, the world and its appealing entertainment, tactics and gain, instead of restraining the access to it by word, example, practice and method. Many persist in this mode expecting different results, or simply hopelessly resigned to accept repeated failure in the lives of their grandchildren after seeing their children already lost to the same. Existing prayer meetings in many churches are ‘mending workshops’ where church members smooth out with praying platitudes the pertaining issues of daily existence. There is no Spirit-originated prayer, so the mind of God is absent in the pleading; human ‘minded’ prayers reign to no avail. May warnings as this, bring the remnant to their senses.

“ Great Sermon! ”
I pray that God will use this sermon in the hearts of His remnant, He has caused to hunger and thirst for Christ's righteousness. I pray that God will encourage the listening Christian to pray and to ask for the "Old Paths". I pray that God will bless this sermon to the heart of the hearer and for the Glory of His own name. Thank you.
