“ Great Sermon! ” This is a sermon teaching that the use of nicotine is a form of drunkenness and therefore a sin. I listened to it because I want to learn what counsel the Bible gives regarding tobacco use and I thought it would be a good study resource. However, this sermon was disappointing because it is heavily based upon philosophical arguments, legalism, and twisting of scripture. Romans 14 is given to us from God to teach us about the law of liberty and to love one another in regards to disagreements over doubtful disputes. As Romans 14:1 says, "Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things" (Romans 14:1). This pastor chiefly cites Romans 14:23, "For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin" -- and yet he uses it in a way that goes against everything that Romans 14 stands for. The pastor uses it to say that nicotine is not from faith and therefore sin.
The sermon is based upon philosophy and faulty philosophy at that. His premises are: 1. Drunkeness is sin. 2. The Bible mentions people being drunk by using the herb wormwood. 3. Nicotine use is a kind of drunkenness. Therefore, nicotine use is sinful. His 3rd premise was inaccurate. Research for yourself to see whether nicotine causes drunkeness.
“ Outstanding Sermon! ” Today's world is a replica of ancient days when Jesus Christ began His ministry. All the greatest sins were surrounding the early Christians as they preached the Gospel, and it's growing as sinful today. With our present technology Brother Joey shows how control over every American is being directed towards the days of Tribulation. Most certainly the Rapture cannot be far off. Our days of deep persecution are not far off either. Homosexuality, idolatry and Satanic worship grows more open every day. The only answer is to be ever closer to our Lord and Savior and look to the Holy Spirit for strength. Study the Scriptures more each day while you can.
“ Insightful Sermon! ” There is much confusion that Satan is creating in this world. The entire standard of right and wrong is being turned upside down. Man and woman are being redefined and sexual expression is being changed from normal to abnormal. Manhood and womanhood are being mixed to make it seem that there is no distinction between them. Homosexuality and lesbianism and transsexualism are being promoted as normal and acceptable.
“ Encouraging Sermon! ” In these difficult days we have many questions for God about the growing evilness. As children of God, we see many forms of blessings and judgments and at times we are confused. But by placing our actions into The Lord's hands, we will see the light that shows us the way for understanding. The sins of the unbelievers will be punished and we should continue to give thanks that we are part of God's family everyday. We are truly fortunate.
“ Powerful Sermon! ” This sermon points out the weak church today and how it's getting worse, with the gullible, weak minded "believers" who are and will follow half-truths being preached today by many fundamental preachers who are nationally followed. The powers of Satan are continually growing and making it mandatory that true believers study the Holy Scriptures more each day and look to the Holy Spirit for strength.
“ Insightful Sermon! ” Very insightful, broad view of so much deception much of it in church practices and preachings -- saints, angels, idols, so many ancient creations have now been renewed and revered and prayed to for insight into false gods. Brother Joey gives us strong historical observations of the movement that is involved in almost every church today. We must think and not simply react and accept with emotion. The great apostasy is strong and growing more each day. Study the Gospel deeply, pray to the Father, Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit to protect us and guide us.
“ Insightful Sermon! ” Technology has 2 important sides to it. One that Satan loves and one that can be used to understand the Gospel and know Christ Jesus better. Unfortunately the first is being overused by the secular world as well as by the Christian world. I have gone through the first stage, and now I get much blessings from listening to so many great fundamental Christian preachers and I can listen to them 24/7 and I do put in most of my spare time that way. I now know that wasting time or being mentally lazy is sinful. And the joy I get from hearing Scripture is beyond acknowledgement -- for me, thank you Jesus for the internet -- it's helped me grow closer to You! This site is a blessing to anyone and everyone who uses it.
“ Powerful & Insightful Sermon! ” Self can be one of Satan's greatest weapons for our own destruction unless we face it head on daily. With the ever growing emphasis in the world to satisfy your desires and be number one, it takes serious work and dependence on the power of the Holy Spirit to stay on the narrow path and to obey the Holy Gospel. Temptations are many and we must not look to ourselves for answers otherwise we will fall.
“ Insightful Sermon! ” Yes, the growing technology has good or evil results possible. And it is good to have historical information about its inventors. But as children of God we have the power of the Holy Spirit to give us strength for discernment and take only the good available. I can now hear outstanding sermons from great Christian teachers and preachers, which is a blessing.
“ Excellent Sermon! ” There is much truth in this message that deals with what we must do as children of God -- stop waiting, stop being lazy, stop wanting God to do it for you -- get busy and do the Lord's work, read his Word, follow His Truth and you will gather strength and be rewarded in Heaven. This sermon has much positive things to say to each of us.
“ Outstanding Sermon! ” This message opens up our look at the great influences that has deceived our lives without our realized any of this. The power of Satan has formed much of our "secular success" and deceived much of our church practices. A most insightful sermon.

“ PC /The Pharasee Cops ” This is the best preaching and style in twenty-five years. It takes a Pharasee to falsley judge another, calling them "Pharasee". The voice levels are even enough to hear the soft and loud passages. I am inspired and encouraged. Many of our Oregon churches have been apostate for many years. Bringing out that Christian singers sometimes promote even sodomy. I used to joke that someday they would get this far in sin. We should follow Scripture, not culture.
“ Great Sermon! ” Every person who calls themselves a Christian should hear this very relevant message. It doesn't matter what church you go to, this message is for you.
