I surmise that this perceptive speaker is extraordinarily "in touch" with the times and has accurately determined the direction and condition of our modern church -and what needs to be done to further defend and promulgate the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I will use this next week to discuss the deity of Jesus Christ with two Jeh. Witnesses who have been visiting weekly for over two months. Finally, we get to this, and yet I already know, as one of them told me, that they believe in the use of the INdefinite article in John 1:1, which as you informed us, is against even first year (basic) Greek translation rules. So may God turn them from darkness to light. Japan often borrows from the USA, and unfortunately, they have their share of Jeh. Witnesses, who read and do visitation and try to work their way to an earthly paradise that is as deceptive and false as the glossy pictures of their literature.
“ Amazing Info ” Wow. I used to think -I emphasize 'used to'!-the ten horns would comprise of the separate nations of the revived Roman empire, the European megastate. This speech clears it up that the ten horns will encompass the whole world as ten regional blocs. That makes total sense when one reads the ten horn prophecy Bible passages. Thank you Dr. Fernandez for the clarification.
“ Many memorable illustrations and quotes ” Phil Fernandes debates an atheist Dan Barker (a former professed Christian) and tears his arguments apart in a large number of areas (the origin of moral values, arguments about the 2nd law of thermodynamics, the equality of women, Hitler being a Christian, etc).
The debate is very long (around 2 hours total), but there is a lot of useful information here.
Throughout the debate, Fernandes comes out with many significant, memorable quotes:

“ Great Lecture Series! ” I couldn't agree more with Tim from Minnesota. Dr. Fernandes offers a condensed yet meticulous survey of the history of Christian thought. This comprehensive series could very well be Dr. Fernandes' Magnum opus.
“ Great Sermon! ” This is the first part of an excellent series on the History of Christian Thought. Dr. Fernandes summarizes volumes of primary source material for those of us who have a full schedule and cannot do it ourselves. Thank you, Dr. Fernandes, for making this material available to us.
“ Interesting Speaker ” I like listening to Fernandes' prophecy lectures, even though I still hold to the pretrib rapture. He's never nasty or rude to those Christians who hold contrary views. The Matthew 24:29 verse still puzzles me. There is no way that our Lord could possibly rapture the Church as He is descending to the Mount of Olives. How could that be?
“ Exceptional! ” The speaker displayed exceptional courtesy with those who hold to the pre-trib rapture viewpoint. He argued well for his posttrib views, but I still feel the pretrib view is the right viewpoint. How could Jesus return to Jerusalem while also rapturing His followers at the same time? What about Matthew 24:29?

It is very common (in my experience) to hear in church that ANY judgment is wrong. But, listen, this statement is self-refuting. If nobody can judge, then how someone can judge me saying that I'm wrong judging others.
I like Phil Fernandes. I agree on most issues with him. He is a great man.
“ Great Sermon! ” Digital Angel? VeriChip? This end-times stuff is coming down fast. Mark of the Beast is just around the corner. The company that makes these chips is right here in Florida.
“ Great Info! ” Another good end-times lecture on the One World religious syncretism and the coming UR organization, setting up a New World Religion for the false prophet. The specific content of this lecture is not something one hears often enough from today's pulpits.
“ Great Insight! ” Yep. Right on target. I did a google search and found all ten regional blocs. In fact, the South Asian Union, East Asian Union, Central Asian Union and the South American Union are forming as we speak. World Net Daily has also been reporting on the SPP project pointing to the North American Union which is to come in 2010 as the North American Community. Here in Texas we have been vigorously protesting to Governor Perry against the Trans Texas Corridor (TTC) which will form the North American Union superhighway to run from Lazaro Cardenas, Mexico on the Pacific Ocean to Churchill, Canada on the Hudson Bay.
