On Tuesday, February 29th 2000, students from Bellevue Community College near Seattle and members of the surrounding community met to hear a debate on God's existence. Dr. Phil Fernandes, founder and President of IBD, debated Mr. Dan Barker, a former 19 year Christian minister turned atheist and Director of Public Relations for the Freedom from Religion Foundation. Dr. Fernandes argued that it is more reasonable to believe Theism based on the evidence than Atheism. The debated was attended by over 200 people.
