Great Sermon! I haven't found a place to hear this kind of message, today, in this 21st century,
I would love to know if it's possible to purchase these messages in written form?????
Great Sermon! I’ve listened to this message several times and passed it on to many. Such a great encouragement to put “your shoulder to the plow” and press on for the work of the Lord, wherever he has placed you. Grateful for Dr. Lawson’s biblical teaching!
Puzzled dear dr lawson,
as faith is a gift from God, the recipients foreordained thus, driving the chosen to the kingdom and working in them the miracle of justification, salvation and glorification - how is it that so much emphasis is placed on man's 'choosing'? even in the same sermon! would that not be totally contradictory? how should the Christian respond?
in Christ
We need truth! Not entertainment! It's obvious from his sermon, that there are fellow ministers in the audience, who will be thinking: He doesn't understand! People won't sit for a long sermon. They don't want a long Bible reading. They want a worship band, and The Holy Gospel Dance troupe. You know who won't sit for a long sermon? Goats! The sheep want sermons. They want Bible reading. They want prayer meetings.
Yes, they can keep making the church like the world, and get bigger congregations...but they aren't Christians. What will happen, pastors, if you stop catering to the world? The goats will get bored and leave. You're right about that. But the sheep will spread it through the grapevine: Guess What!!! My pastor has started to preach!! Just preach the word preacher, and let God and the Holy Spirit worry about filling the church. Did Jesus encourage the mega church? No. He understood exactly why they were there. He didn't want an audience. He wanted disciples. Please pastors, preach to the sheep! Someday you'll be thankful you did: When the Lord says, Well done my good and faithful servant.
In the meantime, why do you think the sheep are sitting at home watching SermonAudio and YouTube? It's the only way they can be fed. The goats are busy watching Pentecost, the musical with the Tongues of fire danc
Great Sermon! Many scriptural proofs concerning the Sovereignty of God in all things are found in this sermon. Listen to it and study the scriptures that are given!!!
Great Sermon! Listened 3 times now! “Your life is like an hourglass that has been turned upside down. There’s only so much time left and you must do what the Lord has called you to do now.” Dr. Steve Lawson
This message was amazing, reminding me of how precious and short our time is to be doing the work of Christ...
“God has assigned each of us a work to do and as long as we are breathing that work is not finished. ”
Great Sermon! Thank you brother Steven for this most profound and helpful message on Philippians 1 v.21 which has truly spoken to us. We are KJV users but we see that the ASV is so very close too. Love in Christ, English Rose and George Fenton.
Great Sermon! Hey there. I am studying Ez over the summer and haven't a clue. Your messages have given a much-needed help Thanks Also finish the book. Tee hee It's the hardest part I've seen in scripture
Great Sermon! This message needs to be proclaimed from every pulpit that seeks to glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We may not change the worldly but it is food for the saved and a means of salvation for the Elect that have not yet heard the gospel in power and in Truth. And this message keeps error out of the church where it can do the most damage. Apostacy is the message Satan seeks to proclaim from the seminaries and churches. Let us not tolerate such, but in love defend the gospel. Why would you want to teach anything else. No one is save without the Truth!
Great Sermon! What a glorious telling of God’s love for us through His Son, the Saviour, Jesus Christ! What a fresh renewing of my mind and heart! Glory and praise to my God and Savior!!
Great Sermon! Also from Gurnall, ""A man's pride shall bring him low." Proverbs 29:23
Religious Pride. Some are as blind as Laodicea, and know it not (Rev. 3:17). As ignorance blinds the mind, so pride is a blind before their ignorance, that they know it not. These have such a high opinion of themselves, that they take it ill that any should suspect them as such. These of all men, are most out of the way to knowledge; they are too good to learn from others, as they think, and too bad to be taught of God. The gate into Christ's school is low, and these cannot stoop. The Master Himself is so humble and lowly that He will not teach a proud scholar."
Sadly, we see this sin of pride in many who profess Christ, even on this forum. The proud are repulsed when their sin of pride is brought to their attention, they attack their 'accusers', belittle, and continue to feed their sin of pride - to their own demise.
May the Lord keep His true sheep from this terrible sin that consumes and overtakes if left unchecked.
