“ Must Hear Sermon! ”
Another very passionate sermon by Pastor John Pittman Hey in the 'David and Mephibosheth' series. He truly brings out what it means to be seated with Christ in glory for all eternity. For the first time I also saw in a new light that in the parable of the great feast, those who made excuses and went their way when the King invited them were not POOR ENOUGH. Pastor Pittman shows how unless you are really poor you will have no need for Christ. I find this to be so true in all my personal evangelism efforts. May the good Lord bless Pastor Pittman and continue to use him more and more.

“ A Must Hear Sermon ”
A very touching sermon indeed by Pastor John Pittman Hey. All theologians agree that the kindness that David showed to Mephibosheth is a picture of the kindness and mercy which the Lord shows to His elect. But Pastor John goes a step further and points out the differences as to how the love and mercy of the Master far exceeds David’s kindness to Mephibosheth. He especially shows how that it actually cost David nothing to do good to this lame man whereas it cost our Lord Jesus EVERYTHING to purchase our redemption and freedom. The substance always far excels the type and shadow in Scripture, and Pastor John brings this out very beautifully. A must hear sermon for all of God’s children.

“ A Wonderful Sermon! ”
A truly wonderful sermon by Pastor Pittman Hey. He brigs out the difference between the 'types' and 'foreshadows' that point to Christ and the real thing itself. David could only give Mephibosheth a place at his table, but could do nothing concerning his lameness. But our David, the Lord Jesus has promised to give us complete redemption, both body and soul. We shall be like Him is the promise. A truly touching sermon, not just for the physically disabled in the Church, but to all of us who know our spiritual lameness and leprosy before God. A must hear sermon!

I have Jewish friends who need to hear this sermon. How beautifully Pastor Hey explains the concept of the Substitute and why we need a sacrifice. My Jewish friends depend on their works and offerings (much as Cain did) to justify themselves before the Lord. They love God but they have lost their way to God.

Brother what you are saying is true and according to scripture, (Hebrews 9:14 who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God,) What you say does not our Lord under dominion of Law,Death, (Romans6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.) Even our Lord said to the men who came arrest him "this is your hour, and the power of darkness." John 19:11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin. Acts 2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Does our Lord underwent under the dominion of Sin or not? please let me know

Kudos to you pastor Hey, GOD's righteousness will prevail come what may. He (GOD) shall rule with a rod of iron. Ezekiel 34v26 says: And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing, and I will cause the shower to come down in his season, there shall be showers of blssing. GOD's many blessings to you! Cindy

“ Excellent and thoughtful sermon ”
A very well-reasoned and fair consideration of hypocrisy and the application of biblical teaching to the subject, and bringing it to bear with fairness and without bias to our current political environment. I was shocked at the way Ms. Palin has appealed to base racist sentiment and in Sen. McCain's "maverick"-claimed positions, and how to reconcile these with their association with Christian concepts, and I had not known about some of the things you mentioned about actions of the American government. You gave me a lot to think about, please keep up your fine work Pastor Hey.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Pastor John P. Hey, thank you for this truthful and non biased sermon. I have heard too many other sermons that spells hypocrisy this gives chistianity a bad name. We have more things in JESUS'S name that brings us togather than seperates us. Mrs. Palin has spewed too much of her poison in the air and calls herself a christian this is hypocrisy in the rawest form. May GOD Bless you for the truths in this sermon. Thank you. Cindy

A heart felt defense of the true doctrine of the atonement. This critique of the aberrant doctrines of C.S. Lewis is presented with a firm reliance on Scripture by a speaker with a heart that truly loves Jesus the Christ. Thank you also for the transcript! It is a blessing to have and to share.
