Sound approach and beneficial guidance The message comes with a gracious exposition about dogs in Scripture, and of course pigs and pearls. The discernment needed to know when to speak and when not, is imperative.
Interestingly the figure of a dumb dog is used in Isaiah 56:10-11 to describe spiritual leaders
“His watchmen are blind: and they are shepherds that cannot understand they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; ... . Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, … they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.”
It is quite crippling to the overall effect, that while using the same words, evangelicals can mean different, if not opposite things in some extreme cases. For instance, while commonly using the term ‘holy’ in divers evangelical circles, truth is not applied to the same extend in all; so some churches, out of lack of thorough discernment, end approving lenient values for holiness, in contrast to others holding up to strict principle about the same. And all this happens while apparently using the same jargon, but holding back clear stand, teaching or admonition, corroborating the figure of speech in Isaiah, say the 'dumb' dog.
Painful Sermon! This was a tough message in spite of many like myself who want to abandon the self life.
It is a necessary message and a good one.
May the Lord change me to serve; without reservation.
Thank you.
Great Sermon! This sermon will cause worshipers to 'come clean.' It was so good to hear a firey sermon. God is to be feared at all times.
Thank you for the reminder.
A Perfect Sermon Although you reminded us that there are no perfect people in the Body, this message was delivered perfectly.
The church I am presently attending is seeking a pastor and has not once mentioned corporate prayer.
As a female, how can I impress upon the leaders the importance of praying for a pastor after God's heart?
Great Sermon! I am overwhelmed by God's love, I am so thankful that you as my pastor for those four years while I was down there demonstrated your submission to The Lord by speaking the hard sayings to me. I do struggle with authority and I pray God grants me repentance!
The Object of Our Worship As always, this sermon along with all of your sermons create a capacity for us to behold the glory of the Lord. As we behold Him, we are bound to worship Him and give Him thanks.
If he is lifted up in our hearts, he surely will draw us unto himself. He will increase and we will decrease.
Thank you.
Enjoying the series I've been listening to the Biblical Worship series and look forward to hearing more. I wanted to encourage you in your studies.
Great Sermon! I am very thankful for this pastor and his reverence to our Lord. This sermon was very needful to me and an answer to prayer just this evening as I was crying out to God for help. Thank you Mr. Pollard
Great Sermon! Thank you! I am really glad I came across this sermon message! God bless you! This was really explained clearly, and full of Bible truth!
