Clear. Excellent lesson about what a deacon is and is not, about the qualifications necessary for this office and the rewards a faithful deacon receives.
Glory of God upon Jesus. The glory of God in found on Jesus and when He come near Him we come near the presence and the glory of God. We have not to wait for another temple.
Great Sermon! Thank you.My brother was homosexual. When he was 23 he murdered his lover. When he was released from jail, he contacted aids. He committed suicide in 1992 when he was 30 years old.He often didn't remember his family, as the disease progressed. He infected a lot of other men as he was very promiscuous,(very common in that lifestyle.) It is tragic the way society commends this lifestyle, without knowing all the facts. Bless you
Influencing to idolatry. A message on influences in life. The king's mother influenced him to idolatry and sin, which brought disaster into his life and in the nation.
God was not absent. The northern tribes do not intend to submit to the will of God and Rehoboam has not the wisdom from God to choose right. Consequences of speaking harshly with the people. We all have to learn from this! And over all these, Gos is in control!
Jeroboam son of Satan. Jeroboam manifests Satan's craftiness in establishing a new religion and a new worship, to prevent the Israelites to go back to worship the Lord in Jerusalem. I realized today that the world who know not God and likes not God, will understand not and like not the worship His people offer to God. So, we not to try to copy the ideas of the world in worship to attract the world to God - this will never happen. Only that the church will become like the world...
Great study. A message on the introduction of the office of the prophet, based on Deuteronomy 18. Prophets as alternatives to the divinations of the Canaanites and as mediators between God and men, bringing to men the Word of God.
Great lessons from a tragic event. A tragic story about a man who was used by God, but failed to be an example to the prophet from Bethel. How sad to want to serve the Lord from time to time, but without living a consistent Christian life! A warning for all of us!
Great Sermon!(11th on my odyssey ) Thankyou brother Dyksra for such a challenging sermon from this portion of the Scriptures.
I am on an odyssey, chronologiccaly listening a sermon from each book of the Bible by a speaker whom i have not heard before.
I am really enjoying this odyssey,it is a real blessing in so many ways. Praise the Lord.
May the Lord bless your ministry and your congregation...to the glory of His name.
Great Sermon! Thanks for giving us this sermon. I always enjoy seeing the picture of Pastor Dykstra on Sermon Audio because if you look closely, and know about books, there are the works of John Newton on his right shoulder and John Flavel on his left. And up in the right corner of the picture is a volume of John Owen's works. That means Pastor Dave is a man after my own heart. Thomas

Deus vobiscum {The Lord be with you!}
Great Sermon! Thank God for this biblical and and powerful word. Yes, the Gospel is indeed the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes.
Scripturally-based message about immigration!! This is the first Scripturally-based message I've heard concerning our borders, their sovereignty as defined by God, and how this impacts our position concerning immigration. My question, which I pray you will address, is how do we keep the conservatives in office, but get rid of the globalist vision?
Another awesome Sermon! The entire content of this sermon is excellent, but the one thing that really stood out was the portion of scripture relating to what Jesus says about those of us who're privileged to call ourselves Christians - v65 "And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father." That last section just leapt out and grabbed me (don't you love it when God does that for you?) and made me realise just how privileged I really am and to ensure I never, ever, think that my 'conversion' had anything to do with me, other than my willingness and acceptance of His gift the day He offered it to me! And we have a responsibility to use this awesome Gift very wisely and fully to please Him. And I really appreciate those who speak on the topic and remind us of this fact.
Solidly presented - scriptural and challenging! David is one of the few pastors who has the courage to stand up and truly be counted in his ministry. Too many others refuse to consider broaching difficult topics like this for fear of offence, rather than being like Paul, and teaching what needs (urgently) to be taught. Problem and solution are both from time immemorial but time for each person to make a change in their behaviour may run out and the chance to make a choice lost. The Christian church needs MORE David Dykstra's!!
Sermon Observation The preacher reminds us of our humanity before God; God is a God of emotion and, because we are made in His emotion- it is legitimate to show emotion-even anger.
However, given my fallenness I am not sure I know what "righteous anger" is.
However, God knows.
