Great Sermon! I've listened to a few of Pastor Dykstra's sermons and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Wow, the OT is loaded with many pearls of wisdom! Do not many of us, like Jeroboam, seek the Lord only when calamity strikes, and do not seek Him every day. I have been feeling convicted of this very thing myself lately, so it is amazing that I have only just now been led to listen to this sermon and say "amen, Lord, amen, only Thou art holy and true, and I am but flesh" . Thank the Lord for His forgiveness and graciousness when we see our sinfulness and repent before Him.
Great Sermon! This sermon is excellent, and very much needed. It hits the nail on the head, when he said this is a life of misery, he is so right. As a former lesbian, saved by the grace of God, I can attest to the fact that this abomination is a life filled with total misery. The homosexual agenda will never admit this, it would not enable them to shove their perversion down America's throat. May God have mercy, may He open the blind eye, the deaf ear.
Great Sermon! This is so, so rich. Your sermons open up God's Word to me so deeply, but as I continue to listen to them (because I can't not listen to them), I do do so with fear and trembling because as you say per the Word, the more light that is given, more is required. Have mercy on me, Lord Jesus.
Great Sermon! Parts 1 and 2 are wonderful sermons and I am particularly drawn in by part 2. I believe with every fiber of my being all that is written of Christ in God's Word and have no difficulties with it. Oh grace of such by the Spirit. What overwhelming joy. Thank you Bro. David for your sermons.
Great Sermon! Powerful. I recently said yo someone that I love John MacArthur's fearlessness and uncompromising stance regarding God's Word. I can also say this about you.
Helpful Sermon Thank you for this very helpful sermon. I have been studying in order to learn how to biblical help friends who are gay. Against liberal GLBT determinism, your clarifying comments about 1 Cor 6:9-11, especially your emphasis on the 11th verse, show there is a way out homosexuality through the gospel.
Great contrasts. A contrast between the two kings; a contrast between the prophets; a contrast between two destinies. Ahab rejects for the third time the Word of God and is punished.
Resisting grace. Tragedy of resisting the grace of God, as seen in Ahab's life. Ahab is not listening to God even when confronted with repeated prophetic words.
