Missing On a previous Dividing Line Dr. White explained that the audio recording device failed. There is a backup but some processing has to be done before it is available.
No download/play options There does not appear to be any option to dowload or play this lesson. I’m really looking forward to hearing it, so hope this can be rectified soon.
Great Sermon! What happened to #48 on Anselm? I was hoping to listen to it and go ambush my friends and coworkers with this argument when they're least expecting!
No Audio uploaded There doesn’t seem to be any audio attached to this entry. I’m looking forward to hearing it... I’ve been doing brain warm ups since I heard you were covering it.
Great Sermon! Dr. White, could you please repeat the questions from the audience over the mic? It's hard to understand what question you're answering to when someone asks something
Impactful class Thank you so much for these classes, Dr. White. You have done an amazing job of communicating the material in an interesting and comprehensible way. I especially appreciate how you incorporate context, both historical and the impact on our own day, of history and theology. Your recent classes on Augustine, Jerome, and this one have been eye-opening to my understanding of theology and the influences that can shape it, good and bad. Thank you so much.
Super Series on Holiness Code To whomever is reading this. Your time will be well spent listening to Dr. White's entire 38 sermon series on The Holiness Code
Beneficial A very helpful overview of Tertullian's teaching about baptism and how it definitely has nothing to do with babies, as Scripture teaches. Considering Tertullian wrote this around 200 I think it's important to give his writings more consideration and appreciation.
James White knocks it out of the park again.
Interesting Roman census (Luke 2:1-4). Is it likely that this was in late December/January and on what grounds? It does appear we are left with 'tradition' around the late second century AD and even then not one word about December 25th. It would be interesting if you could give details why the Puritans decided against the December 25th and January 6th time period.
Excellent Thank you Mr White
You helped me many years ago with your book KING JAMES ONLY CONTROVERSY. This message really brings home to me what John said in jn3:19 This is the verdict:Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Also what our Lord said "It is finished".
Great Teaching Series! Great teaching on Tertullian, I just wish he would've talked about Tertullian being the earliest church father that cited infant baptism as becoming a practice in the early church and that he spoke against it.
