Gospel presentation from a Calvinist slant Just a significant observation. The sermon comes peppered here and there with favourite Calvinist texts, (seldom a 'whosoever' verse preached from of course), while at one point there is an open denunciation as of hell-bound of any holding to universal redemption. However, at another point of the sermon there is a prayer offered for the Spirit of God to make himself irresistible to *all the people* present in that room at that moment, which sounded contradictory or at least presumptuous as a whole. The obvious check is that Calvinism not attaining to the universal offer of the gospel quickly sinks into warped and useless hyper Calvinism.
