We are a congregation that gathers in the heart of Halifax to worship God each Sunday. As Christians, our goal is to worship God according to His revealed will through Jesus Christ by the grace of the Holy Spirit. We therefore look to the Scriptures as the rule of our worship. If this is something you are interested in, we hope you will explore our website to find out more. Even better, come visit our worship services.
"There is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live." 1 Corinthians 8:6
We are a young congregation that began meeting with three families in 1997 and are now comprised of about a dozen households. Our goal as a congregation is to find our joy in God by living for His honour and glory. We believe that this is our highest purpose, and that it can only be accomplished by looking to Jesus Christ our Saviour and depending on the Holy Spirit whom He promised to all that trust in Him.
Our worship is simple and unadorned because we want God Himself to be our focus rather than our own performance. We devote a good portion of our time to the preaching of the Bible because we believe the Bible is the very Word of God that God has given us to reveal Himself, His way of salvation, and His perfect counsel. We also sing His Word from the Psalms (the song book that He has given us), read His Word, and lift up our prayers to Him when we gather together for worship. We encourage parents to keep their children with them in worship, although we do have a separate room from which the service can be heard when needed. We follow a regular format in our service so that our concentration can be on the content of the message and on the God we worship rather than on the act of worship itself.
We are part of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Synod, a denomination that was established in North America in 1782. As Presbyterians, our church is governed by elders who are elected by the congregation and who are approved by the elders that are already serving. Our elders participate in common government with elders from other churches in matters that affect us as a larger body. Along with all other Bible believing denominations, our mission is to make loving followers of Jesus Christ among all peoples so that we can all rejoice in Him together.

I am very encouraged in what SermonAudio does and how it enables us to reach out around the world with God’s Word. I know our people enjoy the site and I have derived much benefit personally. I get calls or emails occasionally from people who have listened to our sermons. One time we were planning to drive out to the west coast. I had some contact from a man in Minneapolis, MN who had grown much in his faith by listening to my sermons but needed assistance in locating a solid church. I happened to know an elder from a church near him. We arranged a dinner with both of these men so I could introduce them to each other. It’s amazing to see the Lord’s providence in making these connections.
