Theme: Jesus is the humble King Who came to be the Passover Lamb for His people. In vv. 28-31, we see the Divine preparation for the entrance. Jesus gives instructions to His disciples to get a colt which no one had ever ridden. The details of the instructions show Jesus's omniscience. In application, we can trust God's control. In vv. 32-34, we see the faith and obedience of the disciples. Through all of the events that followed, we see that we should expect the King's Word to be fulfilled. In vv. 35-40, we see the worship and rejection of the King. We need to humble ourselves under the Lordship of King Jesus. He deserves our loyalty, praise, and our very lives.
