Samuel is very suited to our times. More and more people in our society and of the whole world want change. The problem is, we don't know what we ought to be or how to get there. For over 200 years, the world has been filled with revolutions, but most of them end up with something worse than they had to start with. It is no different on a personal level. The Book of Samuel will show us how God can transform us from dust to glory. But today, we are not going to turn to Samuel—not yet. I want to begin, as I often do, by presenting you with a theme song to go with Samuel. The Song I have chosen is Psalm 113. It is a perfect fit.
