At least three things can be observed: 1) The wrath of God; 2) The faith of three of God's children; and 3) Their deliverance from the power of the flames. The text teaches that when men openly defy the God of Heaven, they invite the terrors of God's wrath. This passage also shows the cost of being a true and inward Christian and that the Lord never forsakes his own either in martyrdom or other severe trials of our faith.
