The deliverance of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fiery flames of the furnace illustrates how faith always wins a victory. In reference to the 3 Hebrew men, Hebrews 11:333-34 says, "By FAITH...(they) quenched the violence of fire." The victory of their faith is seen in the account in Daniel in three ways: 1) The remarkable (wondrous) deliverence of the three men from the power of the intense flames; 2) The confession of King Nebuchadnezzar; and 3) The prosperous outcome of the trial of their faith. Christians need to actively and earnestly seek for an increase of faith to prepare for severe trials which may lie ahead. Application shows how the Christian may seek and obatain a strong faith.
