"Are we living in the last days?" That question is on many people's minds as we observe what is happening in our world today. Are we nearing the end of the world as we know it? Jesus, in His Olivet Discourse of Matthew 24, answers three questions concerning the future: the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem; the signs of His second coming; and signs regarding the end of this age. He offers four signs that we are in the closing days of this age. The beginning of labor has begun, and the 'baby', the new Messianic age is about to be born. Since the destruction of Jerusalem happened just as Jesus said it would in a literal fashion, we can be assured that the other predictions Jesus makes will also be fulfilled literally in the future. Jesus is coming again! We today are living in the last days prior to the establishment of Christ's kingdom here on earth. The signs are all around us. Look up for your redemption draws nigh! But continue to work until Jesus comes!
