God doesn't promise to remove the weakness of believers but He does promise to bring believers through the time and into glory. One ministry of the Holy Spirit is His work in the realm of believer's weaknesses in bearing the burdens and difficulties of this present life. The Spirit's help doesn't remove the weakness but enables and sustains the believer to be able to endure through the time of difficulty.
One specific way the Spirit helps is in the realm of prayer and what to pray for. Beyond being obedient and sure of God's promises, believers do not know the will of God in every individual circumstance. The Spirit, who does however, intercedes for believers from His dwelling within, so that we pray for what we should. The mind of the Spirit communicates to the mind of God the Father on our behalf with perfect intercession for the will of God to be done in their life. Up to this point in chapter eight of Romans there have been nine things identified with the ministry of the Holy Spirit in believer's lives. These include: 1. Gives life and peace… 2. Sets us free from sin and death… 3. Directs our lives… 4. Dwells in us… 5. Guarantees our resurrection… 6. Has placed us in the family of God… 7. Gives us assurance… 8. Gives us hope… 9. Intercedes for us.
