Satan is leading humanity into the eternal fires of hell. He knows what he is doing. He knows he cannot win a war against God, but he can deceive humanity into believing he can. Satan's objective is to hurt God as much as possible. There is no greater pain or sorrow experienced by God than the loss of a soul to eternal condemnation.
