We come to the Bible to learn about Jesus Christ who alone is 'the way, the truth and the life.' As the Bible continues under relentless attack, even by those within the evangelical church, it is the person and work of Jesus Christ being distorted and twisted. Many are being misled into believing they can 'connect' with God by means of various self-centered, self-initiated mystical experiences rather than by faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.
God has spoken. His Word reveals His character and His will. He speaks with full, undiminished authority and what He has revealed is absolute, unchanging truth. God's truth is eternal and unchanging because God who spoke it is. Timeless by nature it will continue in its full authority and sufficiency as counsel for all of life and godliness, for everyone, everywhere.
God will hold each person accountable for what He has revealed. Those who 'teach' have even greater responsibility. Those who teach or promote what is in conflict with God's Word, and those who want to believe the lies they teach, face eternal condemnation no matter how good they feel about their relationship with God today. Any mixing of man's message & methods with the Word of God adulterates it, and its power is gone.
The gospel message remains unchanged as is the condition of man. The need for a Savior as the way to have a relationship with God remains unchanged. The good news that God sent His Son to be that Savior remains unchanged.
