Hannah in this text looked across Judaism and saw lawlessness and rebellion. She beheld a godless woman thinking that she was something because she had children. And she considered the center of God's worship being corrupted as Hophni and Phinehas stole from the Lord. Thus she pined for that which she could not provide on her own — the raising up of a man of God to right all that was wrong for the Lord. That was her passion; THAT WAS HER CONCERN.
