The things that God has revealed in the Bible are for our benefit so that we might obey them and live them out. But there are secret things that God has reserved to Himself, and I cannot plum those depths. So we can only go as far as the scripture takes us. That may leave us with questions or unresolved areas. That's fine. I take the word of God by faith I am required to go as far as God takes me in the revelation of His word. I am required to stop where the revelation of the word of God stops. This helps me greatly in the area of sovereignty because some of my greatest difficulties come in trying to take the step beyond what God has revealed. . I find myself then unable to grapple with it. Often when I try to resolve what God has not revealed I try to back up and undo what He has revealed and thus I mishandle the word of God.
