Worry is an epidemic in our world today. It causes stress, anxiety, depression and often leads to addiction. The breakdown of faith in God coupled with the accelerated pace and tension of modern life have produced intense anxiety in millions of people. Worry is having a divided mind. It is a fighting against yourself. When you fight against yourself, you are evenly matched. The war does not easily end. This burdens our minds and bodies. Worry is a cycle of thoughts circling around a center of fear. "Worry is an old man with bended head, carrying a load of feathers which he thinks are lead." Thank God that Jesus Christ can transform our fear into faith, our anxiety into adoration, our slavery into freedom and our worry into worship. Yet, the issue is not worry, the issue is whether you have a heavenly Father. Not everyone does. Everyone has or had an earthly father, otherwise you wouldn't be alive. Ask yourself whether you really have a heavenly Father and a vital relationship with Him. God the Father! If you do, rejoice! If you don't or don't know, turn and ask Him to adopt you.
