Will they be like they have been for generations: faithless and complacent? Or will they trust in God? This text purposefully stops at chapter 36, though the story does not end here. And we Though we will not talk about it here, Judah's faith becomes the great gift of God to preserve the nation so that ultimately, God might send the Lord Jesus Christ as a Jew to die under the law so that he might save his people from their sins. God's role in history is something to stand in awe of.
