The Law was never a means of salvation or to become righteous before God. God declared the man Abraham righteous by his faith in what God had said about 500 years before the Law was given, before Abraham was circumcised, and Abraham was never baptized. Paul in writing to the Romans has stated that there is only one God so there is only one way of salvation. That one way of salvation and being declared righteous was and is by faith. Faith in what God has said and done, not by what someone has done. As Paul wrote down through today, the faith that saves will be in the person and work of Jesus Christ who has done all that is needed to provide salvation. By faith alone, in Him alone, God declares the believer righteous thereby qualified to be in a personal relationship with Him forever, safe and secure.
