Redemption factors rather significantly in the outworking of God’s eternal plan. The Hebrew writer speaking of Christ wrote:
Hebrews 9:12, “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.”
Hebrews 9:15, “And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.”
Truly redemption constitutes a very large part of God’s plan for this world. In light of this we are not surprised to discover that from Exodus on; from the time when God redeemed His people from slavery to Pharaoh, the theme of redemption can be found over 1,000 times in the pages of Scripture! Truly the word of God is a record of “The Story of Redemption” and its theology/teaching could aptly be named, “The Glories of Redemption!”
