God is kind and compassionate, and mindful of His people. They are very dear to Him. And the indication of that in Elihu's words here, is found in verses 10 and 11, where Elihu says – "But no one says, 'Where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night, who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth, and makes us wiser than the birds of heaven?" It therefore becomes us to remember, my dear brethren that during our most difficult moments, that God does give us songs in the night. As we are here to remember Christ, and what He has done for us, we must remember that it is God Himself and Christ Himself who gives us songs in the night. And what kinds of songs will He give us? Well I believe that there are 3 songs which we can learn to sing in times of great trouble, in the night of our experience, which God Himself will give to us. They relate to what Christ has done for us in His redeeming our souls unto God. 1st of all – He gives us the song of His being a God of Perfect Righteousness in giving us His Son to be our Savior. (verses 1-8) 2nd – There is the song of His being the Perfect Teacher of people like ourselves. He teaches us more than the beasts of the field or the birds of the air. (verses 9-12) And 3rd – There is the song of His Perfect Love and Patience in His conforming us to the image of Christ. (verses 13-16)
