Today we want to look at Paul's first trip up to Jerusalem to discuss the new doctrine that the followers of Moses were teaching. They were saying that a man needs to be circumcised to be saved. Paul knew this to be a false doctrine as you can add nothing to the finished work of Christ. So, after 14 years of preaching the gospel, as the dispute grows, he travels to Jerusalem to talk with the other Apostles. He probably has two thoughts as he goes. The first is to see that he is right. We saw this last week in verse 2 as he doesn't want to have run in vain. The second reason is probably to let them know that this issue is growing in importance. Join us as we look at the rest of Paul's story regarding his trip.
