When that which had a point, no longer manifests its point, because the one using it didn't realize it had a point, will inevitably be used for something other than the point and purpose it once had.
We see it today in many areas of life. We don't want to miss His point.
Let's talk about it.
There's nothing wrong with doing good or great work... it's the right thing to do. So, do good work... be good at what you do. Give others something commendable and praiseworthy to work with, but let somebody else toot your horn... it will go much farther, last a lot longer, and carry more weight, than when you toot your own. And it's not only the right thing to do, it's the noble and nice thing to do.
"He who elevates his own gate takes the opportunity to belittle and look down on others. But what he fails to realize is that he inadvertently extends an open invitation to challenge him, and what he's selfishly exalted over others, when he tooted his own horn." (Proverbs 17:19)
Christ was conceived, lived, died, buried, and was raised to reign supreme in the lives of everyone He rescues and delivers.

He graciously governs all those who are His… He is King, Lord, Master, Owner, Redeemer, High Priest, and Shepherd over all His sheep. He governs those whom He loves and guides.
