The wisdom of the world will not contribute to the building up of the Church. Those who are building are God's servants working together being enabled by the grace God supplies. The building must be on the foundation of the truth of the person and work of Jesus Christ. Faithfulness to God's word which is the source for the truth will be a factor in the coming judgment for rewards for the work done. This is not a judgment for sin and future punishment but a judgment for rewards or loss of rewards for each believer. It is the quality of the work done in service to the Lord that will be evaluated not the measure of success as seen in the day. God is the one who determines the growth as He so wills.
