We have to understand the importance of Jesus Christ's death and resurrection which are inseparably linked together. We would be permanently lost if Christ had returned to heaven without dying on the cross. We would be hopelessly lost if he wasn't raised from the dead. There is salvation for man because Christ is alive today. ¶ We are justified through Christ's actions so Christians are guiltless before God. We are redeemed because Christ has paid the penalty for our sin. Christ's propitiation turned away the wrath of God from us. We are sanctified. We are set apart for God.
