The second most important decision you make in life is who you will marry. The Bible tells us an excellent wife is precious and hard to find. Take your time in considering marriage. A vow should not be quickly made because it is not easily broken. Attraction can be a distraction. Beauty is one thing, yes. If there isn't chemistry, there will not be romance. However, it is the character of the person that you must realistically assess. Everybody is on their best behavior when they are dating! Be careful of the insecure person. They are so fearful of losing you that they will alienate you from everything else you love: your family, your identity and even your Lord. Insecurity is rampant in our society, because so many people tragically grow up in single parent homes or divorced homes. When they become adults, they don't want to experience that pain again. If you are already married, a wife may ask her husband, "Does this look good on me or does this look better on me?" That's completely fine and normal. But beloved, the fear of the Lord looks good on every human soul, particularly those of women. A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised!
