The apostle Paul is closing by acknowledging many men and women who had and were faithfully serving in the ministry with him, some had been with him and some serving in different locations. As he is giving his closing commendations and greetings he interjects a final word of warning for those who also could be an influence on the church but not in edifying and godly ways. Those who were not genuine believers but would be sent into the church by Satan to breakdown the church from within. Believers must be discerning and wise in their love and welcoming attitude so that the word of God is both counsel and guide for evaluating those who come into the church. Unbelievers while being welcome must not be allowed to lead or serve as believers with believers being cautious and mindful of the potential for their ungodly influence.
