Revival starts with me. It would be hypocritical to pour out my complaint before God about a slumbering church and a wicked nation, while I remain fixed in my sin. David prayed, "Revive me according to Your word." That should be our prayer as well. We need to address our own personal problems even as we pray and hope for a national revival. Otherwise, praying for revival can just be a distraction and a way to change the subject, focusing attention on others, instead of myself.
