The preincarnate Christ makes two appearances to his mother as the 'Angel of the Lord' and indicates the son she will have is to be a Nazrite from conception. The child will be set apart for the Lord from the womb. As the Spirit of the Lord comes upon him he is endowed with great strength for which he will be recognized by friend and enemy alike. This will make several of his characteristics and how he, at times, chooses to conduct himself disappointing. These surface as he comes of age to acquire a wife.
