Pivotal Moments…
"EVER SINCE"
Life's pivotal moments... landmark times when God spoke His word over you, you trusted Him and believed His commitment to you and embraced the wait, however long it would take—for Him to fulfill His promise.
I must ask, do you have any "ever since" moments? Or have you said this before, "Ever since this happened, [it] altered the course of my life..."? I'm sure you have. But have you had an "ever since" moment or moments with Jesus?
I love to read about heroes of the faith and their "ever since" moments. Caleb is one of them and at 85 years old... He said,
"And now, behold, the Lord has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, EVER SINCE the Lord spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old... and I'm just as vibrant, vigorous, and victorious as I was then, to start and finish a war. Now, therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day..." (Joshua 14:10-12).
It's obvious, by this passage and through personal experience with individuals I've encountered over the years, that a person with an "ever since" moment with Jesus has not only a personal friend in Him but also promises from Him, to cling to. And, He and His promises make a world of difference in their spirit, strength, sight, and service.
How many "EVER SINCE" moments, with God, does a servant of God need? Caleb said he only needed one. C'mon, just one life-altering, grace-strengthening, and hope-sustaining promise from God is all it takes to KEEP a believer seeking, serving, and steadfast for Jesus. Glory...
