God declares in His Word that Jesus Christ is the great high priest, the one and only qualified representative and mediator between Himself and man. By Him and because of Him, those who have placed their faith in who He is and what He has done have access to the very throne room of God. God commands those so qualifed by their idenfication with Christ are to hold fast to that confession of Him and to draw near to God. Drawing near to God by means of prayer brings the believer into the very throne room of God. Believers can come confidently with full assurance knowing their access will not be denied and they are promised to find both grace and mercy in times of need.
