The way that I would like to approach this subject this morning is for us to turn to John Chapter 13. John Chapter 13 is the place where we find more about being washed and being made clean spiritually, than in any other place in the Bible. It is in this important passage that we will learn, first; that it was the great love of Jesus for His disciples that makes this room so great and beautiful. (Verses 1-5) 2ndly, we will see the surprise of Peter that Christ was standing there in this room, ready to wash him. (Verses 6-10) And thirdly – we will see that it is the responsibility of every disciple of Christ to humbly and regularly go to this room to wash the feet of other disciples. (Verses 11-17)
