When we see a brother in sin, we are to rebuke him in love, with the motivation being to seek one another's Christian growth. The goal is restoration and forgiveness. In v. 4, Jesus addresses the extent of forgiveness. There is no limit, and we need to be willing to continually forgive. Christ commands us as His followers to love our brothers and sisters and to forgive them as He has forgiven us.
